Successful screening of potential drug candidates
Glucox Biotech has together with Inovacia AB in Stockholm successfully
identified several novel small molecule inhibitors of ROS formation based on a project leading to selection of a drug candidates.
Primary hits, inhibiting induced ROS formation, have been confirmed by dose-response measurements and counter-assays including cell toxicity assays. Analysis of the medicinal chemistry potential of the series has resulted in few very promising chemical series amenable for lead generation.
